The New MH3295 Material Handler from Cat®: Built for Big Jobs and Bigger Productivity

When the job calls for serious reach and nonstop performance, the new Cat® MH3295 Material Handler delivers. Designed specifically for large scrapyards and port applications, this powerhouse machine brings together advanced electrohydraulic controls, cutting-edge Cat technologies, and a rugged design built to handle high-production workloads.

Purpose-Built for Power and Reach

Based on the proven Cat 395 Excavator platform, the MH3295 takes strength and durability to the next level. It shares many of the same service parts but features a purpose-built design for material handling applications — ensuring stability, precision, and consistent operation under tough conditions.

With an impressive 17.6 m (57.7 ft) reach, two counterweight options, and a wide 4.8 m (15.7 ft) track gauge, the MH3295 delivers rock-solid stability even when working at extended reach. For transport, the track retracts to a more compact 4.1 m (13.5 ft) width.

High Performance Meets Smart Efficiency

The MH3295 runs on a 405 kW (543 hp) Cat C18 engine, meeting U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emissions standards while maintaining full performance up to 3,000 m (9,840 ft) above sea level.
Operators can fine-tune performance using three selectable power modes—Power, Smart, and Eco—to match the job while saving fuel.

Cat’s advanced electrohydraulic system delivers smooth, responsive control and an ideal balance between power and efficiency. The SmartBoom™ feature allows the boom to move freely without hydraulic flow, letting operators focus on stick and attachment movement for better precision and faster cycles.

Technology That Works as Hard as You Do

Built-in Cat technologies make every cycle count:

  • Cat Payload helps operators hit precise load targets, preventing overloading and improving production tracking with real-time weight data.
  • 2D E-fence helps protect the machine and surrounding environment by preventing the boom and stick from moving outside pre-set boundaries.
  • Swing Assist automatically stops rotation at set points, reducing fuel burn and improving cycle times for repetitive swing patterns.

The MH3295 also integrates with VisionLink™, giving fleet managers detailed insights into machine health, utilization, and performance. With Remote Troubleshoot and Remote Flash, Cat dealers can diagnose issues and install software updates remotely—minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime.

Operator Comfort and Safety, Elevated

The MH3295’s Premium Plus cab with a fixed riser provides 360° visibility, including floor windows for a clear view of material loading areas. The cab’s new design includes:

  • Slim cab pillars and expansive windows
  • Rear, left, and right-side cameras for full visibility
  • Enclosed stairways and integrated lighting for safe entry
  • Wide walkways for quick, easy maintenance access

Inside, operators enjoy an adjustable seat, conveniently placed controls for effortless machine operation, and a high-resolution 10-inch touchscreen that presents job data and productivity apps in a clear, easy-to-read layout.

Cab avoidance technology helps prevent contact between attachments and the cab, improving safety and extending machine life. Automatic climate control and multiple storage compartments make long shifts more comfortable, while Bluetooth® and USB connectivity keep operators connected.

Built to Move More

From barge loading to high-volume scrapyard work, the new Cat MH3295 Material Handler is engineered for productivity, precision, and durability. With its smart technology, strong platform, and operator-focused comfort, it’s designed to keep operations running smoothly day after day.
