Next-Level Performance Arrives with Komatsu’s PC365LC-11 Excavator
Komatsu announces the launch of the PC365LC-11 multifunction plus excavator for the North American market. Purpose-built for regional jobsite demands, the machine features an updated exterior, a refined operator cab and a range of new standard and optional features tailored specifically to North American construction operations.
At the core of the PC365LC-11 is a class-exclusive electric swing system paired with boom-up power assist. A dedicated electric swing motor enhances swing speed and efficiency, helping reduce cycle times in multifunction work and delivering productivity improvements of up to 15%.* An integrated ultracapacitor captures and stores energy, supplying an additional 70 electric horsepower for rapid acceleration—even when the engine is operating in ultra-low idle—ensuring immediate power delivery to the work equipment when needed.
Operating in an ultra-low idle state can reduce fuel consumption by up to 20%, extending run time and lowering overall ownership costs. Electrical energy is captured during everyday machine operation and stored in the ultracapacitor, allowing the system to operate without any external charging. By removing hydraulic demand from swing functions, more hydraulic power is available for boom, arm and bucket movements. Optimized hydraulic flow shortens digging cycles, minimizes work equipment lag and supports smoother, more responsive multifunction operation. These efficiencies also contribute to noticeably quieter performance.
Building on the previous generation, the PC365LC-11 introduces meaningful advancements across three primary areas: operator experience, integrated technology and attachment versatility.
Elevated comfort to support operators through long shifts:
Operators are supported by a new premium heated air-suspension seat with a high leather back, enhanced cushioning and flexible adjustments. Intuitive proportional joysticks offer ergonomic control that helps ease fatigue and wrist strain throughout the shift.
Smart technology to support safe work:
KomVision camera technology is included as standard** and delivers a real-time, 360-degree view around the machine to enhance situational awareness in support of Komatsu’s zero-harm commitment. An optional factory-installed Smart Construction 3D Machine Guidance system allows operators and managers to access 3D design and terrain data, improving accuracy, load control and overall jobsite efficiency.
Flexible, efficient attachment performance:
A standard tool control system—available on machines equipped with an additional hydraulic piping line—allows operators to program and store flow rates and pressure settings for multiple attachments, all viewable on the in-cab monitor. By enabling fast attachment changes with tool-specific hydraulic presets, the system improves overall efficiency, precision and performance. Optional hydraulic quick coupler piping, available as a factory-installed option, enables fast tool attachment including compatibility with the Lehnhoff quick coupler system.
