Liebherr Expands Aerospace Manufacturing Plant in Brazil with Groundbreaking Ceremony

Liebherr has officially broken ground on the expansion of its aerospace manufacturing facility in Guaratinguetá, São Paulo, Brazil. This development marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the region.

On February 17, Liebherr celebrated this milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of Liebherr Aerospace Brasil LTDA. The event was attended by company management, employees, and invited guests, signifying the commencement of construction.

Over the next decade, Liebherr plans to invest approximately €45 million in the project. Within the next two years, the expanded 8,000 m² facility will begin machining and surface-treating high-precision aluminum and steel aircraft components. This expansion will support the growing production demands within the aerospace industry.

Since its establishment in 2005, Liebherr Aerospace Brasil LTDA has been manufacturing critical high-tech components for flight control and actuation systems, environmental control and thermal management systems, landing gear systems, and aircraft engines. The company operates under the latest industry certifications, including Nadcap, and benefits from an advanced industrial infrastructure.
