Komatsu Unveils New WA475-11 and WA485-11 Wheel Loaders

March 11, 2025 — Komatsu proudly announced the launch of its latest wheel loader models, the WA475-11 and WA485-11. These advanced machines are built to boost productivity while improving operator comfort and simplifying maintenance, all with a strong focus on reducing customers’ total cost of ownership (TCO).


Enhanced Performance:
•    The WA485-11 delivers:
o    Up to 12% lower fuel consumption
o    21% more engine power
o    13% faster climbing speed compared to the WA480-8.
•    The WA475-11 offers:
o    Up to 7% lower fuel consumption
o    18% more engine power
o    40% greater climbing speed compared to the WA475-10.

Innovative Features for Maximum Efficiency

Both models now come equipped with Komatsu’s Hydrostatic-Mechanical Transmission (KHMT), enhancing fuel efficiency and overall performance. Operators will appreciate the large four-pillar cab, angle feedback joystick steering, and independent work control system—all designed to minimize fatigue during long workdays. Safety also gets a boost with standard rear object detection and a deluxe LED light package to enhance visibility.

Yard Loader Configurations for Aggregate Applications

Both models also offer yard loader configurations with enhanced stability features—including a larger bucket, wide low-profile tires, and additional counterweight—designed to boost performance in aggregate applications.
