IC Bus Elevates Safety Standards with Next Generation CE Series
International Motors, LLC (International) and IC Bus, LLC (IC Bus) are pleased to announce that First Light Illuminated School Bus Signs (ISBS) and Fully Illuminated Stop Arms (FISA) are now standard features on the Next Generation IC Bus™ Electric CE Series school buses.
ISBS and FISA can be factory-installed on all IC Bus school bus models currently in production. These features will become standard equipment on all new Electric CE Series school bus orders moving forward and will also be included on internal combustion engine CE Series models starting August 2025.
These high-visibility safety enhancements reflect IC Bus’ ongoing commitment to innovation and student safety. The addition of First Light’s ISBS and FISA products strengthens an already robust suite of standard safety technologies, delivering even more value to school districts and fleet operators across North America.
First Light’s ISBS and FISA systems significantly improve the visibility of stopped school buses, helping reduce stop-arm violations. These solutions are visible from over 1,000 feet away and remain clearly readable from more than 300 feet, giving motorists more time to recognize and respond appropriately when approaching a stopped bus.
