DEVELON Targets Mid-Class Forestry Demand with New DX340LL-7 Log Loader
The DEVELON DX340LL-7 log loader is purpose-built for demanding forestry operations, filling a key gap in the 40–45 metric ton size class. It delivers the reach and strength of a larger unit without the transport and cost burdens typically associated with heavier equipment.
Expanding the DEVELON forestry lineup, the DX340LL-7 broadens coverage across the size range. It brings added performance without the complications tied to larger equipment.
Engineered for timber harvesting and log handling, the machine features a fuel-efficient, DPF-free engine that meets Tier 4 emissions standards, helping reduce maintenance and maximize uptime. High swing torque and tractive force provide the power needed for steep terrain and heavy loads, while a one-touch joystick-mounted power boost delivers instant hydraulic performance when it’s needed most.
Clear visibility and operator-focused design are built into the DX340LL-7 log loader. A standard 4-foot cab riser combined with narrow cab pillars provide clear views of the worksite, while an optional rear-entry cab door adds flexibility. Forestry-certified cab options, available in both side and rear entry configurations, meet Oregon OSHA and British Columbia WCB standards. Awareness is further enhanced with standard side and rearview cameras, while a travel alarm, LED work lights, and a straight travel pedal, included with the side entry cab, help simplify maneuvering.
Inside the cab, the DX340LL-7 enhances operator comfort with a premium workstation aimed at reducing fatigue during extended operation. A heated and cooled air-suspension seat (rear cab entry only) adjusts to suit operator needs, while an 8-inch LCD monitor displays key machine data and camera views.
The DX340LL-7 also comes equipped with the MY DEVELON telematics system, enabling remote monitoring of machine health, location and productivity.
A 36-month or 3,000-hour standard warranty supports the DX340LL-7, while added protection through optional Protection Plus® can extend warranty up to 60 months or 7,500 hours. For operations in remote logging locations, DEVELON supports customers with a strategic parts network, including a dedicated distribution center in Lacey, Washington.
