DEVELON Introduces Cab and Brake Upgrades for ADTs
DEVELON's DA30-7 and DA45-7 articulated dump trucks (ADTs) have received a redesigned operator cab, an Auto-Hold brake system, and an upgraded touchscreen display while retaining the machines' existing drivetrain and chassis design.
The latest updates focus on improving operator comfort and ease of operation.
Auto-Hold Brake Added
One of the key additions to the ADTs is an Auto-Hold brake system designed to simplify operation on hills and during loading and unloading.
When activated, the system automatically applies the brakes and shifts the truck into neutral, allowing it to remain stationary until the operator is ready to move again. Once a drive gear is selected and power is applied, the hold brake releases automatically. The system is also intended to make uphill starts easier by eliminating the need for two-foot brake operation, with the brakes releasing automatically once the truck begins moving.
DEVELON has also replaced the parking brake control with an automotive-style lever. Pulling the lever engages the parking brake, while pushing it down releases it.
New 12-Inch Display
The updated operator cab includes a 12-inch touchscreen display mounted at eye level, providing operators with quick access to machine information and camera views.
The display provides real-time information including:
- Active payload measurements
- Machine gradient and pitch
- Travel speed and engine rpm
- Fuel and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) levels
- Engine and hydraulic oil temperatures
The integrated payload system displays real-time load measurements on the touchscreen, helping operators maximize payloads while reducing the risk of overloading.
Proven Mechanical Design
Although the cab has received a major redesign, DEVELON has retained the proven mechanical design of its ADTs. Features such as the front-mounted turning ring, free-swinging rear tandem bogie, and hydro-gas front suspension system help support balanced weight distribution, traction, and ride comfort across challenging job sites.
Standard Telematics
The ADTs feature MY DEVELON telematics, which provides access to operational data through connected devices. Fuel usage, payload information, machine condition, and operator metrics are available on one platform to help owners monitor fleet performance.
