DEVELON Expands Excavator Lineup With DX300LC-9
DEVELON continues to expand its -9 Series lineup with the DX300LC-9, a 33-metric-ton crawler excavator equipped with systems for production, jobsite safety, machine guidance and machine health monitoring. The model debuted at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in early 2026, joining the DX230LC-9, DX260LC-9, DX360LC-9 and DX400LC-9.
Systems Built for Production Work
A lift-assist system helps operators assess lifting capacity and recognize potential tipping hazards when working on slopes or uneven ground.
The excavator’s breaker technology addresses both machine wear and operator input. Breaker Assist helps prevent blank firing, while an automatic setting reduces the need for continuous button pressing.
An onboard weighing system monitors production as material is loaded into trucks. Operators can also use stick steer and thumbwheel steering alongside traditional pedal controls to maneuver the excavator.
Jobsite Awareness and Safety
Operators can monitor the area around the machine with the Smart Around View Monitor, which uses six cameras, radar sensors and AI-powered human detection. The system is available as an option across the -9 Series.
The E-Stop system provides two levels of response based on a person’s proximity to the excavator. It slows the machine when a person is detected within 13 feet and brings it to a complete stop when the person is within 6.5 feet.
Operators can set digital boundaries to limit boom and bucket movement near overhead power lines and underground obstacles.
Controls and Machine Monitoring
A 12-inch touchscreen gives operators access to machine settings such as climate controls, power modes and hydraulic flow for attachments. The excavator can be equipped with a second monitor to operate up to four functions at once.
The excavator is equipped with 2D machine guidance and machine control technology for digging and grading, with optional 3D systems available for large projects with changing terrain.
Machine health monitoring tracks the health of the engine oil, hydraulic fluid, main pump and swing motor through Advanced Prognostics and Health Management Technology, helping support machine uptime. A premium option adds vibration and pressure sensors for diagnostics on the swing motor, main pump and reduction gear.
The MY DEVELON app adds a Bluetooth® digital key for unlocking the cab, starting the engine and adjusting the air conditioning.
