CASE Construction Equipment Unveils One-of-a-Kind Skid Steer Inspired by Metallica’s James Hetfield
Munich, April 7, 2025 – Visitors to Bauma 2025 got an exclusive look at a unique machine on display at the CASE Construction Equipment stand: a fully customized SV340B skid steer loader inspired by none other than Metallica frontman and co-founder, James Hetfield.
This special-edition loader follows the debut of a similarly distinctive TV450B compact track loader, which CASE presented to Hetfield in December 2024 at the Helping Hands charity concert hosted by Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation at the YouTube Theatre in California.
The original design was based on one of Hetfield’s personal tattoos—a skull with wings—and paired with a bold font inspired by Metallica’s signature graphics and album art. Additional touches, like classic pinstriping drawn from Hetfield’s hot rod collection, were worked into a sandy camouflage paint scheme reminiscent of his custom Snakebyte electric guitar. For the Bauma edition, the loader sports a striking grey camouflage finish more in line with CASE’s brand identity.
This exclusive machine celebrates a powerful partnership between CASE and one of rock music’s most iconic figures—blending cutting-edge equipment with unmistakable rock-and-roll flair.
