John Deere Expands Forestry Equipment Production in Langley, B.C.
Moline, IL (November 19, 2024) – John Deere announced plans to expand its forestry equipment production at its Specialty Products facility in Langley, British Columbia. The site will begin producing 900-Series tracked harvesters and feller bunchers in late 2024, with production of the 800-Series starting in Spring 2025.
The Langley facility will become a center of excellence for manufacturing purpose-built tracked forestry equipment, supporting North American and global markets. This move reinforces John Deere’s commitment to meeting customer needs in key forestry regions while delivering high-quality, durable products.
Operating since 1998, the Langley facility employs 100 people and produces tracked processors, road builders, and log loaders for customers worldwide. This expansion is expected to create new jobs and strengthen John Deere’s role as a leader in the forestry equipment industry while benefiting the local community.
