Four operators are working on different parts of the same construction site. Each has a different machine and a different assignment. By the end of the day, the foreman wants to know who completed their work first.
But the operators didn't finish at the same time.
Can you use the clues to figure out who finished first?
The Operators
- Jake — Excavator
- David — Wheel Loader
- Sarah — Dozer
- Tom — Skid Steer
The Jobs
Each operator was assigned one of these tasks:
- Excavating a trench
- Moving a pile of gravel
- Grading a section of the site
- Clearing debris
The Clues
- Jake finished before David, who was working on the gravel pile.
- Sarah finished after Jake but before Tom.
- David finished before Tom.
- Tom wasn't the first operator to finish.
- The dozer operator finished third.
