Can You Diagnose This Wheel Loader Problem?

Puzzles and Games

🔧What's Wrong with This Machine?

A wheel loader operator notices that the machine is taking longer than usual to raise its bucket. The loader still has enough power to drive around the jobsite, but the lift arms move noticeably slower than normal, especially when the machine is cold.

The operator also notices that the hydraulic system seems noisier than usual. After running the machine for a while, the hydraulic oil temperature begins to climb higher than it normally does.

What do you think is causing the problem?

🕵️ Clues

1. The engine is running normally and has no warning lights.

2. The machine drives and steers normally.

3. The bucket lift and tilt functions are both slower than usual.

4. The hydraulic system sounds louder than normal during operation.

5. The hydraulic oil temperature rises faster than usual.

6. The hydraulic oil level is within the recommended range.

7. The problem is most noticeable when the machine is working under load.
